Lees Road Park, Ennis Our camps are set in the beautiful surroundings of Lees Road Park β€” a green oasis in Ennis where children can roam, imagine, and adventure freely.

Why Friendly Fox After-School Sessions?

The perfect school-day reset: Nature has a way of washing the day away. After two hours in the woods, children arrive home calmer, happier, and ready for the evening ahead.

Grow in confidence: Whether it's mastering a new skill, taking a small risk, or simply finding their place in the group β€” children surprise themselves every single week.

Small group, big experience: With a maximum of 15 children per session, every child is seen, supported, and celebrated.

Real skills, real fun: From fire craft and foraging to nature crafts and free play β€” activities are hands-on, meaningful, and never the same two weeks running.

What Does a Day at Friendly Fox Forest School Look Like?

Every day has its own natural rhythm, and no two days are ever quite the same β€” but here's a taste of what to expect!

We begin gathering for circle time β€” a chance for everyone to arrive, connect, and feel at home in their surroundings. There might be a game to get the energy out, a nature craft to slow things down, or a new skill to get stuck into β€” knot tying, tool use, fire lighting, foraging, den building. We follow the mood of the group and the season.

Free time woven throughout means children can roam, explore, climb, and follow their curiosity. Those who need a quieter moment are always welcome to observe, wander, or simply be.

Participation is always encouraged but never forced β€” every child's pace is respected. 🦊

What to Bring: A snack, plenty of water, a spare set of clothes, and waterproofs. Please label everything with your child's name.

What to Wear: Clothes you don't mind getting dirty! Wellies or sturdy outdoor shoes, layers, and long trousers. If in doubt, dress for rain and hope for sunshine β˜€οΈ

After Booking: A few days before the first session you'll receive a detailed confirmation email with everything you need β€” drop-off and pick-up details, site information, and more. Keep an eye on your inbox and check your SPAM folder too!
