FAQs

1. What happens at a Friendly Fox Forest School session?

Each session offers time for play, exploration, and connection with nature. Children are supported to follow their own curiosity — building dens, crafting with natural materials, climbing, storytelling, and learning through discovery.

2. Do parents stay for the children and carer sessions?
Yes. Our children and carer sessions are designed for shared experiences — you stay with your child, explore together, and enjoy gentle connection time in nature.

3. What should my child bring or wear?
We play outside in all weather (except storms and extreme conditions), so children should wear waterproofs, sturdy shoes or boots, and layers suitable for the season. Please also bring a snack, drink, and a change of clothes.

4. Can we request a special set of sessions for a home education group?
Absolutely! We love collaborating with home-educating families and community groups. Just get in touch to discuss your needs.

5. Are there camps or after-school sessions?
Yes. We run seasonal camps and after-school sessions for children aged 4–10. These focus on outdoor play, teamwork, creativity, and developing a deeper connection with the natural world.

6. What is Dreoilín Forest School for Adults?
Dreoilín Forest School for Adults offers nature-based sessions for adults of all ages — supporting wellbeing, reflection, and connection through time spent outdoors. Each session is gentle, creative, and shaped by the season.

7. Do I need any outdoor experience to join?
Not at all. You don’t need prior experience — just curiosity and a willingness to spend time in nature. We provide everything you need for comfort and safety.

8. How do I book or pay for a session?
You can book directly through our website or by contacting us via email or phone. Payment details will be shared during the booking process, and we accept bank transfer or online payment.

9. How can I get in touch?
You can reach us through our Contact page, by email, or via social media. We’re happy to answer questions and help you find the right session for you or your child.

10. What if the weather is bad?
Forest School continues in most weather! If conditions are unsafe (for example, in high winds or storms), we’ll notify you as early as possible and reschedule or credit the session.
