Forest School for Schools, Home-Ed & Community Groups
The Feeding Tree offers forest school sessions for school classes, home-education groups, community organisations, and businesses at Lees Road Park, Ennis, Co. Clare, or at your own woodland site, if you have one.
Whether you're looking for a single class visit or a longer block of weekly sessions, we can shape a programme that fits your group.
Who we work with
Preschools — sensory, hands-on sessions suited to early years
Primary schools — class visits linked to outdoor learning, nature, and wellbeing
Secondary schools — sessions for Transition Year, SPHE, or Green-Schools initiatives, drawing on the same approach we use in our Madra Crainn forest school programme for 11–17 year olds.
Home-education groups — regular or one-off sessions for home-schooling pods and co-ops
Community and youth groups — scouts, youth clubs, and other organisations looking for outdoor programming
Businesses — outdoor team building days for staff teams and workplace groups
What a visit looks like
Every session is led by qualified Forest School practitioners and shaped around your group's age range and goals. Activities may include fire lighting and cooking, nature crafts, den building, foraging, and free play — always at a pace that suits the group, with risk managed appropriately for the age and setting.
Sessions usually take place at Lees Road Park, Ennis — but if your school or group has access to its own woodland or natural site, we're happy to come to you and run sessions there instead.
We can offer:
One-off sessions — a single visit, ideal for a class trip or a taster day
Blocks of sessions — regular weekly visits over a number of weeks, for groups who want to build a longer relationship with the woodland
Group size, timing, and content are worked out with you in advance, so the session fits your curriculum, timetable, or group's needs.
Team Building Days for Businesses
Looking for a team day that gets people connecting to one another? We run outdoor team building sessions for businesses at Lees Road Park, Ennis.
Sessions draw on real bushcraft skills: shelter building, fire making, and foraging, alongside problem-solving games designed to get a team communicating and working together properly.
Days are built around your team's needs. Choose a half day or a full day, and bring a small group or up to 20 people. Get in touch and we'll put together a plan and a quote based on what you're after.
